The owners, Dave & Katie Alvin: Long time local "Super Dave" has been fishing since he was knee-high to a grasshopper. During the last two decades he's been in Montana guiding, outfitting, and fishing for fun, tracking down trout wherever they're found. When he's not on the water, Dave ties flies commercially, and specializes in personal creations or variations specific to the area. He has been involved in the recreation industry since 1986 and during the winter months operates the East Slope Outdoors ski shop.
Dave's wife Katie has been fishing since she met Dave in 1994, and has been studying or working in the field of natural resource management for nearly two decades. She is currently the Executive Director of the Blue Water Task Force, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the health of the Gallatin River Watershed. Dave and Katie caretake a small private pond fishery and horse ranch in Big Sky with their two young children, three dogs, and a cat. 
The Guides: Drawn from the local fly fishing community, the guides of East Slope Outdoors are recognized not only for their knowledge of the region's waters, but also for their passion for the sport. Our guides are dedicated to teaching and demonstrating fishing techniques with patience, perseverance, and a healthy dose of good humor. Most importantly, everyone at East Slope Outdoors is committed to making your trip safe, enjoyable and memorable.
