The Salmon Fly hatch is in full swing in Gallatin Canyon! Flows are unusually low for this time of year, so try fishing your bugs in faster water. Along with pounding the banks and pocket water, our guides have been getting great results from fishing heavy current tongues and long riffles that run adjacent to softer holding water. We've been dropping soft hackle caddis patterns (LeBug, Soft Hackle Pheasant Tail, etc.), as well as small stone fly nymphs (Copper John, Yellow Sally, etc.).
Sorry to cut this one short, but we're on our way out the door to get while the gettin's good!
